The Bradford West Gwillimbury Carrot Fest is a highly anticipated annual event that takes place in the town of Bradford, Ontario. The festival is dedicated to celebrating the town’s agricultural heritage and the humble carrot, which has been a staple crop in the area for generations.
In 2023, the festival is set to take place on August 18th to 19th, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The festival committee has been hard at work planning and organizing the event, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The festival also features a variety of live music and entertainment, with performances from local bands and musicians. There are also carnival rides, games, activities for children, and plenty of food vendors, making it a fun day out for the whole family.
Speaking of family, Carrot Fest is a great day out for kids! In the past Carrot Fest has offered pony rides, and the Aqua Dogs show (dogs doing tricks in water). As well as Face painting, Airbrush tattoos and henna in the vendor market. There has even been an ice cream eating contest held by 3 Scoops in front of their store and as always the Inflatables in the Kids Zone with inflatable mazes and slides for kids to play in. Carrot arts and crafts are offered by many of the vendors, as well as the colouring contest I offer in my own booth! (Bonus, every entry gets a FREEzie!)
In addition to the festivities, the festival also serves as an opportunity to showcase the town’s many attractions and amenities. Visitors can explore the town’s historic sites, including the Bradford West Gwillimbury & District Community Centre and Library, which features a wide range of books, media, and programming for all ages.
Overall, the Bradford West Gwillimbury Carrot Fest is an event not to be missed. Whether you’re a fan of carrots or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, the festival offers something for everyone. So mark your calendars for August 18th to 19th, 2023, and come join the celebration! And don’t forget to check out this site for updates as the official schedule is finalized.
