Bradford West Gwillimbury parks and recreation facilities reflect a community in constant motion. With major investments in the Bradford Leisure Centre, Bradford Library and many large well equipped parks within the town limits, there is always something to do every day of the week.
Bradford’s parks and recreation summer outdoor facilities range from miles of biking/walking trails to forested hiking paths, fishing in the canal, playing in one of the many well-equipped playgrounds and cooling down in our many splash pads. In fact, Bradford has 29 parks and parkettes offering almost every sport you can imagine.
In the winter you can curl, ice fish, cross-country ski, hike and even catch a thrill sliding down one of our two large sled hills. Bradford also has a few outdoor rinks and is a short drive from Blue Mountain and Horseshoe Valley for downhill skiing.
Swimming and skating are offered year-round in the Bradford Leisure Centre as well as a fully equipped gym to keep you in shape. Many summer camps are also offered each summer through the Town of Bradford and the Leisure Centre. Be sure to register in March, demand is very high!
