Bradford, Ontario is a vibrant community with a variety of educational opportunities for students of all ages. Each of the Bradford schools has its unique features and offerings.
Bradford District High School is the town’s only public high school, serving students in grades 9 through 12. With a diverse student population, BDHS offers a range of academic programs, including advanced placement courses and co-op programs. The school also has a strong athletics program, with teams in basketball, volleyball, and soccer, among others.
Holy Trinity Catholic High School is committed to providing its students with a strong academic foundation, while also fostering a sense of faith and moral values. The school offers a wide range of programs, including the International Baccalaureate program, Advanced Placement courses, and specialized programs in areas such as arts, athletics, and technology.
For younger students, Bradford has several elementary schools, including Fieldcrest Elementary School, Chris Hadfield Public School, and St. Angela Merici Catholic and St Teresa Of Calcutta Catholic Elementary Schools, just to name a few. Bradford Schools offer a range of programs and resources for students, including literacy and numeracy programs, special education support, and extracurricular activities.
Bradford has opened three new schools for the 2022-2023 school year (2 public and one catholic), with the most recent one opening today, as I write this. Marshview Public School fell behind schedule and was finally opened to students this morning for its first day of classes!
In addition to traditional public schools, Bradford also has several private schools, including the Bradford Montessori School and the Bradford Learning Centre. These schools offer smaller class sizes and individualized attention, as well as unique educational philosophies and approaches.
